The Vouvray Appellation Contrôlée belongs to the third great french wine producing area; The Loire Valley, wich extends from Nantes in the west to Sancerre in the east.

The Vouvray Appellation area is 2000 hectares of vineyards distributed over 7 villages, on the right bank of the Loire:
